Happy New Year!!!!! Our first New Moon of 2022 lands in the Moon Mansion of Purva Ashadha, "The Invincible Star," and the zodiac sign of Sagittarius. Here, the thought of "defeat" ceases to exist. However, it will require you to have a "Come to Jesus" moment.

A come to Jesus moment is described as an epiphany in which one realizes the truth of a matter; a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something; coming clean and admitting failures; realizing the true weight or impact of a negative situation or fact; an acknowledgment that one must get back to core values; an aha moment; a moment of reassessment of priorities; turning point; life-changing moment.

Aligning with the Truth is the only way to be invincible. This New Moon is all about what is right and true. The Sun & Moon joined together in Purva Ashadha/Sagittarius, which symbolizes a quest for that Truth.

Sagittarius is a hunter, represented as a mythological centaur that is half-human/half-horse, stationed in the skies with its bow and arrow ready to strike its target. It is also the only zodiac sign that merges the natural/spiritual world (half-horse) with the human world (half-human).

The New Moon has a squared (tension) aspect to the asteroid/minor planet that is named after the centaurs of all centaurs, Chiron, "The Wounded Healer." Chiron was a skilled and potent healer and teacher with a reputation for being a maverick. One day, he was struck by the demigod Heracles' poisoned arrow. Immortal and unable to die, Chiron was destined to live in constant pain due to his unhealed wound, ironically unable to heal himself. It was arranged for Prometheus to exchange his mortality with him, and Chiron took his place among the stars, finally liberated of his suffering.

In astrology, wherever Chiron is placed in your chart, represents our deepest, most tender inner wounds that are the most difficult for us to heal, and they often keep us hidden from our own Truth. This is where a come-to Jesus moment becomes the healing moment. Healing our wounds, which is certainly not quick or easy, holds our greatest Truth. Once through the process, we can often support others in healing or become influential teachers.

2022 will give a sense of stability, balance, and healing to those ready to embrace and accept their come-to-Jesus moments.

Supporting your healing, while not pleasant at the moment, is Venus, in retrograde motion, on her journey to the underworld for transformation. Along the way, she once again joined with Pluto (King of the Underworld.) Notice if you have reoccurring themes that you thought may have long been gone around relationships, partnerships, balance, intimacy, money, social status, appearance, and luxuries. Venus also enters into the first stages of combustion (too close to the Sun). Be on the lookout for temperatures to flare surrounding the themes above. Venus and the Sun are not friendly, so be aware of feelings of being put down, shamed, or dismissed by males or authority figures. Keep your cool, and look underneath the stoic disposition and what response or required action, if any, supports healing.

Kalasarpa yoga (serpent of time) was formed on December 16, 2021, and will continue until April 22, 2022. Kalasarpa yoga is formed when all the major planets are hemmed between Ketu (the past) and Rahu (the future). The best way to describe this formation and its effects is all right-brain or left-brain thinking.

Jupiter, the great benefic, has a squared aspect on Rahu and Ketu. Jupiter also entered the Moon Mansion of Shatabhishak, "The Star of Hundred Healers," and is the house ruler where Chiron is currently transiting. Imagine Jupiter holding the reigns of your centaur with perfect tension, expanding the past and the future simultaneously, conceiving healing between the two which results in healing the wounded healer.

The wound is where the light gets in, and this New Year and New Moon, there is a healing of inner wounds occurring.
